Roundup of what other religion news watchers found notable last year.

Digging out from vacations and the "polar vortex," here's one last look back at 2013.

Beyond CT's lists of our most-read articles, Gleanings, and Her.meneutics posts of 2013, here are roundups worth reading from other religion news watchers.

The Religion Newswriters Association offers its picks for the year's top 20 religion events (No. 1: Pope Francis's election). Religion Clause offers its picks for the top 10 church-state/religious liberty developments of 2013 (No. 1: Supreme Court striking down Section 3 of DOMA). And Real Clear Religion lists the top 14 religious newsmakers of the year.

CT blogger and LifeWay Research president Ed Stetzer provides lists of his most-popular blogs, current events posts, top church trends, top 10 tweets, and, on a lighter note, the year's top church signs.

In Baptist news, Associated Baptist Press lists the year's most-newsworthy Baptist stories as well as important Baptist deaths, while Baptist Press lists its own most-read stories and top international missions stories.

In religion book news, CT published its 2014 book awards. Jesus Creed's Scot McKnight also picked his books of the year, as did Religion News Service and Publishers Weekly.

And finally, Religion and Ethics Newsweekly looks back at 2013 and ahead at 2014 in assessing today's top religion and ethics issues.
