Interesting the way we associate churches with the pastor: 'John Ortberg's Megachurch.' I guess we've all done it (me included) but is it really John Ortberg's church?!

oh, wait - that complicates matters. I appreciate a denomination that tries to support existing churches when a mega-church wants to create a 'site' with the big-name preacher on TV, next door to what is supposed to be a sister church. That is an interesting wrinkle.

Quick update ... ECO has been recognized as a reformed denomination by the World Communion of Reformed Churches, which makes ECO qualified under the PC(USA) Book of Order as a denomination that a church can be transferred to.
