Yes, PROSPERITY and BLESSING for His people is God's will and He addresses the subject all through the Bible. Christophe Koebel. People who talk against prosperity just don't know WHO God is and want to pick and choose what parts of the Bible they want to believe and feel comfortable with. I guess they think it looks good to God....Look how humble and religious I am God...I am poor for YOUR sake. Very sad when in fact the opposite is true. God's prosperity is TOTAL prosperity and not just material and financial. God is a giver, and He blesses those who give. Since "prosperity peachers" and their congregations KNOW and BELIEVE this truth and take God at His Word, they are prosperous. Give and it shall be given unto you...pressed down, shaken together and running over..shall men give unto you. Can't argue with THE TRUTH, but you can cheat yourself out of abundant life by your unbelief...but that is your choice.

well, that is a money making company, not a church. His teaching of prosperity is NOT from the Holy Scripture

Whether it's $60 or $600,000 its still theft and it's very likely someone on the inside did it unless the church had a break-in. The real issue here is how churches keep an eye on their money and on those who manage it. I belonged to a church once where it was assumed that the treasurer was a trustworthy person. She had in fact embezzled over $300,000 over a short period of time. This led the church to have to close its school. So whether longtime or short churches must monitor their money to protect it from being stolen from those on the inside or outside.

A relatively large sum of money has been stolen from a church and so-called Christians rush to criticize the Pastor. It's a bit long, but how's that for a headline. Great witness guys. I constantly hear remarks like those I reference. The funny thing is I only hear the negative and the name-calling. I rarely, if ever, hear what Joel has said or done that is wrong. I know many atheists who have become open to the Gospel because of Joel. Can you naysayers make that claim? I think Christians should work on their own efforts of spreading the Word, not tearing down a brother.

Yes, we are to follow the example of Jesus. He went about doing His Father's business and spoke ONLY what He heard His Father say. He set the captives free...healing ALL manner of sickness, disease, bondage...casting out devils...praying "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN." Do you think there is lack of ANY kind, poverty, sickness, disease in Heaven? Do you think the Roman soldiers cast lots for a poor man's cloak? Do you think the Son of God was lacking in ANY way? Do you think God meant it when He said that we are BELOVED and that He wants us to PROSPER and be in health--and that is TOTAL health--even as our soul prospers? Do you think God meant it when He said FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things NOT seen? So many other examples I could name...but God is a God of FAITH, and His gifts are RECEIVED BY FAITH. He won't force ANYONE to accept ANYTHING He promises...but I CHOOSE to BELIEVE Him and I SEE the BLESSINGS in my life.
