New Partnership to Help Churches Meet 21st Century Challenges of Space and Cultural Changes
Christianity Today International and Cornerstone Knowledge Network to launch BuildingForMinistry.com

CAROL STREAM, ILLINOIS, October 29, 2008 — Creating space, engaging people, and transforming lives—that's the mission of BuildingForMinistry.com, a new website under construction through a collaborative partnership between Christianity Today International and the Cornerstone Knowledge Network (www.theCKN.com). Christianity Today International is the publisher of Christianity Today, Leadership, Your Church, and Church Law & Tax Report, and Cornerstone Knowledge Network is comprised of a select group of companies that design and build churches and provide expert guidance through conferences and consultations.

BuildingForMinistry.com, which launches in early 2009, will draw upon the ministry expertise and passion of both organizations to help churches utilize, design and build ministry space based on an understanding of cultural trends, church identity, and ministry vision. The site will feature a Thought Leader Advisory Panel including widely respected church leaders throughout the country.

"Our passion is to radically enhance ministry's impact in this dawning digital age," said Ed Bahler, CEO of Aspen Group and co-founder of CKN. "We are dedicated to creating powerful resources for church leadership, as well as designing and constructing strategic church facilities."

Bill Couchenour, President of Cogun and also co-founder of CKN adds, "Churches will typically spend more on facility related costs than anything else except for staff — usually 40 to 45 percent of their entire budget. CKN is passionate about helping churches understand how to integrate vision, culture and leadership to develop the best answers to their facility questions."

BuildingForMinistry.com will help churches invest their resources wisely and for maximum kingdom effectiveness—through ground-breaking research, downloadable training packs, articles, and video clips.

"We exist to serve church leaders," said Kevin Miller, executive vice president of CTI, "so we have to help them with some of the biggest decisions they'll ever face."

Christianity Today International is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit communications ministry whose mission is to create Christian content that changes the people who change the world. CTI serves the global church with 11 magazines, more than 40 e-newsletters, and www.ChristianityToday.com, which together reach nearly 4 million people each month.
