Unique Advent & Christmas Bible Studies
Developed by Christianity Today International

Carol Stream, IL December 9, 2009—With Christmas season here, ChristianBibleStudies.com, a ministry of Christianity Today International, has developed over a dozen downloadable Bible studies to use during the season of Advent—including several free resources.

All Bible studies are downloadable for immediate access, but there are a variety of formats: from one-session to multi-week studies, to studies based on the gospel stories of Luke and Matthew, to studies based on the spiritual themes of Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life. Each Bible study works for personal use, or can be used in your Bible study groups, small groups, and Sunday school classes. Just download a study once and make as many copies as you need.

Some of the most popular Bible studies include:

Advent: Clash of Two Kingdoms: This four-part study looks at the ways that Jesus turned things upside down when he came to Earth. Advent is ultimately about life, death, blood, confrontation, darkness, light, and war—the clash of two kingdoms.

The Songs of Advent: As familiar as we are with the songs of Christmas, there are four songs recorded in the Bible to celebrate the birth of Jesus that most of us aren't familiar with. See what you can learn from the songs of the angels, Mary, Simeon, and Zechariah.

The People of the Nativity:This five-part study looks at those in the genealogy of Jesus, as well as the more familiar characters of Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, and the angels. Through these people we learn how doubts can turn to faith, the importance of humility and obedience, and how to gain an eternal perspective.

ChristianBibleStudies.com also is offering several free, downloadable resources for Christmas. JoHannah Reardon, editor of ChristianBibleStudies.com, says, "We have four free PDF handouts to help others understand the true meaning of Christmas. They're great for members of your church, to give them to your neighbors, or to even enclose them with your Christmas cards."
