In "Your Life Online" (November/December), some of the teens who were interviewed said you can be more open with people online than you can face-to-face. I disagree. You should be less open with people you've met online. You don't know who they are and if they have any ulterior motives. It's OK to make online friends, but I think teenagers should avoid being best friends with people they've met on the Internet. You never know if they're telling you the truth.

Two Sides to a Story
I really appreciated your article "Leave My Boyfriend Alone" (November/December). It helped me realize there are always two sides to a story. And no matter what, I need to be Christ-like in everything—especially my relationships at school.

Nerd Alert!
I know I'm a nerd, but I couldn't help but point out the blatant mistake made by your Managing Editor, Mark Moring, in "@ Campus Life" (November/December). In his article "Stressed about the Big Stuff?" he said there were 7x5x1018 grains of sand, but when he wrote the number he wrote 7,500,000,000,000,000,000. That number would be represented as 7.5x1018 not 7x5x1018, which happens to be 35,000,000,000,000,000,000.

Editor's note: D'oh! You're absolutely right, Daryl. We meant to write 7.5x1018, as you noted, but that decimal somehow became an "x" instead. Makes a big difference, doesn't it?!

God Never Fails
I was adopted when I was 4 days old. And the article "My Life Is Ruined!" (November/December) made me cry. From my perspective God does not let us down. I still don't know who my birth parents are, but I do know a loving Lord and Savior. He walks with me and he knows my heart.

Hope for Healing
I want to thank you for your article "Forgiving Dad" (September/October). My father also had an affair, but he and my stepmom are now divorced. I have a new sibling from the affair and my Dad still lives with the other woman. We're not on speaking terms. But it was nice to hear that forgiveness is a process that does happen. Reading this article gave me hope that my siblings and I aren't alone in our pain.

Strength to start
I was encouraged after reading "Standing Alone" (September/October). Last year I started a Bible study at my public school. People said they would come but never showed up. I got teased a lot. This year I was afraid to start it again, but now, thanks to your article, I'm going to!

Love the Music
I like your magazine and look forward to getting it every other month. I enjoy reading about new Christian artists and appreciate the music updates. After I read one issue, I can't wait until the next one.

Update:
"A Greater Trust in God"

Katie Pavlacka, the 19-year-old blind swimmer featured in our September/October issue, recently returned from Australia, where she competed in the 2000 Paralympic Games. Though she didn't bring home any medals, she made it to the finals of two events, and she finished fifth in the 400-meter freestyle by setting a new U.S. record.
