Sex … With Mom And Dad Making sense of the messages in this MTV show. By Todd Hertz
 1 of 1

- On this MTV reality show, Dr. Drew Pinsky helps teens and their parents work through struggles with sex and dating. Make two columns on a piece of paper. In one, list the show's healthy messages about sex, communication, respecting parents, etc. In the other, list messages that don't fit the biblical truth about sex.
- Do you think this show inspires sexual purity for the participants? How about for the viewer? Why or why not? Can this show change lives and do good?
- How would a show with the same goal—but a Christian doctor/therapist—differ?
- Read 1 Corinthians 6:13-20 and Philippians 4:8. How does Sex … with Mom and Dad stack up to these verses?
- What conversations do you need to have with your parents about sex and purity? How can you initiate those?
