In the aftermath of the devastating Tornado in Oklahoma, a Tweet by John Piper started a storm of its own. Piper Tweeted Job 1:19: “Your sons and daughters were eating and a great wind struck the house, and it fell upon them, and they are dead.” The timing of the Tweet struck many people as insensitive, though it was unclear what message, if any, Piper was trying to send. Piper’s ministry released a statement and at least one of the early critics of the Tweet has apologized for jumping to conclusions. Read more at The Washington Post.
