If work is good and reflects the character of God, why do we view it negatively?

Both in the mainstream culture and the church, work is often viewed negatively. Tom Nelson suggests that the disintegration of God's design in creation (as seen in Genesis 3) has contributed to a frustrated view of work. While this isn't the end of the story, work will not be redeemed wholly until the End of the Story. In the meantime, Christians in the workplace have a unique opportunity to bring a glimpse of redemption to a broken world.
