Les Miserables Boosted by Christian Viewers

Targeting evangelicals was a key element in the film's promotional strategy. Themes of grace, human dignity, and redemption made for a pop-hit among believers, especially given the strategic marketing of the film to Christian thought and culture leaders by NBC Universal.
