No one ever said ministry would be easy. In fact, as Jesus told his disciples as he was sending them into ministry: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be on your guard against men; they will hand you over to the local councils and flog you in their synagogues" (Matt. 10:15-16). In some ways, that's still what it's like in ministry.

Leadership Journal understands that. It's written by pastors, for pastors, about the challenges and temptations, the joys and the pain, of leading a congregation. It focuses on helping church leaders to be "shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." Streetwise and sanctified, intelligent and innocent. Not easy characteristics to combine, but essential for a faithful and effective ministry.

LeadershipJournal is strengthening church leaders not only in North America but, through its publishing relationships, throughout the world.

Would you help us? Getting the insight and spiritual wisdom of godly leaders to those who need the encouragement and training requires more than your subscription or advertising alone. Would you prayerfully consider what you can do to invest in this strategic work?

Your gift will help us continue to provide quality training for church leaders throughout North America and beyond. Please remember that as a nonprofit ministry, your gifts to Leadership Journal are fully tax-deductible and will ensure that our commitment to church leaders will continue for years to come.
