Mormon website shows softening attitude towards LGBT community

The LDS church, long a bastion of traditional sexual values, launched a website last Thursday aimed at promoting understanding between Mormons and those with same-sex attraction. MormonsandGays.org features the church's official stance on homosexual attitudes and behaviors, couched in much softened terms compared to previously expressed opinions from LDS elders, framing the issue as an ongoing "conversation."
