In a crash as big as any on the Col de la Bonette-Restefond, cycling's favorite son, Lance Armstrong, has confessed to systemic doping and related unethical practices. Having been stripped of his Tour de France titles, Armstrong is facing a slew of consequences ranging from the financial to the legal. There is speculation that even his testicular cancer, which led Armstrong to found the Livestrong organization, may even be linked to his enhancement drug activities.

Of his career and cover up, Armstrong told interviewer Oprah Winfrey that it was "one big lie."
