Faith "Losing Societal Influence," but Most Americans Think "More Religion" Would Be Nice
According to the most recent numbers from a longstanding Gallup poll (it's been a routine survey since 1957), 77% of Americans think that religion is losing its societal influence.
Letting the other shoe drop though, the same study (in a recently added question) found the interesting statistic that 75% of Americans would like to see an increase in religion.
