Featured Resource:You Want to Donate What?—Live webinar event with nonprofit CPA, Elaine Sommerville

The end of the year is in sight, and church leaders know they are coming: charitable contributions of all shapes and sizes. Donations can include cash, boats, farmland, cars, stocks—even livestock. What is and is not allowed for tax purposes? What tax laws apply in these diverse cases? Elaine Sommerville, nonprofit CPA and editorial advisor for Church Law & Tax Report, Church Finance Today, Your Church magazine, and ChurchSafety.com, will present a sensible plan to help you receive and document these contributions with confidence. In a live webinar event on Tuesday, November 10th, 10-11 a.m., CST, Elaine will walk participants through best practices for handling charitable contributions for both the church and their donors. (Be sure to select "You Want to Donate What?" in the left menu bar on the registration page.)
