 Welcome

After weeks of controversy, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, a documentary that explores the evolution vs. Intelligent Design debate, was released in theaters last weekend. Hosted by Ben Stein, the movie has received both praise and criticism for its look at the poor treatment of Intelligent Design advocates within academic circles.

Last week CT Movies talked to Ben Stein about his role in the film and how it has affected his thoughts on God and evolution. Make sure to check out the interview here, and read our review of the film from CT Movies.

Then in honor of Earth Day today, Elisa Morgan gives us good reasons to care for God's creation in "Why Should I Care About Planet Earth?" She reminds us that this is our Father's world, and it should be well cared for.

And don't miss the rest of our featured articles in the right-hand column of this newsletter and on ChristianityToday.com that are sure to inform and inspire you throughout your week.

INTERVIEW
Ben Stein Is Expelled!
The TV and movie personality takes on Darwinism and evolution in a new documentary about Intelligent Design—and academic freedom.

But he is probably still best known for playing the boring high-school economics teacher who took attendance in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

REVIEW
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
This controversial documentary explores what filmmakers are calling a lack of academic freedom in academia and scientific circles.

The pre-release controversy surrounding Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed didn't quite reach the fever pitch that preceded The Passion of the Christ, but it has nonetheless "bought" the filmmakers more free publicity than they ever could have afforded. Click to continue.

A friend who teaches Sunday school told me about a time when she asked a question of some of the young children in her class. "What do you have to be to get into heaven?" she said.

One little boy shyly raised his hand and said softly, "Dead?"
