With campaigns for the 2008 election now in full swing, this week we're featuring an informative interview with Paul Kengor, author of God and Hillary Clinton, on Clinton's religious beliefs and the impact they may have on her campaign. Then read an excerpt from Kengor's book to learn about the biggest Christian influence in Clinton's youth.
We've also selected a number of helpful articles on Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee who have both received attention from the press for their strong religious backgrounds. We hope these will help you make an informed decision as you prepare for the upcoming election.
And as always, be sure to check out the rest of this week's featured articles in the right-hand column of this newsletter and on ChristianityToday.com.

For much of Hillary's youth, [her father] Hugh was the only male influence on her life that had any real bearing. Fear Not the Compass (Christianity Today Movies) Many Christians are concerned about the upcoming release of The Golden Compass. Here's some good advice for how we might respond to it all.
The Chronicles of Atheism (Christianity Today) When The Golden Compass hits theaters this month, many will be introduced to the works of Philip Pullman, a writer who detests C.S. Lewis's fantasy world.
The Invasion of God (Christianity Today) The so-called Christmas wars are much larger than we imagine.
Review: The Golden Compass (Christianity Today Movies) The first movie based on Philip Pullman's controversial fantasy trilogy is spectacular but a little rushed—and it leaves many of the book's anti-religious themes intact.
Do They Know It's Hanukkah? (Christianity Today) There's more than one "happy holiday" for Christians this season.

The Rowandale church band was meeting for their Christmas service practice. The female pianist, Melanie, was getting more and more flustered as she flipped through her music. Finally, she exclaimed to the other five male band members, "I can't find 'Good Christian Men'!" To which the drummer quipped, "You have a choice of five right here."
