About three years ago, I went on a summer mission trip where I worked on a house with six students I'd never met before. As we got to know each other, a guy asked about my job. So, I gave them each a copy of Ignite Your Faith.
As much as I'd wanted to, I didn't manage to keep in touch with those students. But two years later, one of the girls, Libby, sent me an e-mail. She said that she'd been reading Ignite ever since I gave her that issue. She told me how much it had meant to her and her faith walk. That e-mail meant a lot to me—and not just because it allowed me to hear from one of these students I'd met. We love to hear from any readers about Ignite Your Faith, and not just the good stuff. We want to know what works, what doesn't and what you're thinking. We want to start conversations about God. And like any conversation, we need someone to talk back.
So, we hope as you read the new Nov/Dec issue or the stories online this week, you'll be like Libby and tell us what you think.
Our top story today is "The Death of Death." How does death die? Well, the answer's a big part of what it means to be a Christian. In fact, this article is the final in our 10-part series of articles using each line in the Apostles' Creed to explore what Christians really believe. If you've missed any of these, go check them out. They have a lot to say.
We also have an advice column addressing a serious issue—taking over-the-counter drugs to get high—and a feature on the Desperation Band's experience of watching their beloved pastor fall into secret sin.
Other than that, the big news about the site this week is how much free stuff we want to give you. Seriously. First, there's the Heroes of Rock! contest where you can win a Superchic[k] prize pack. Second, you can win 25 free CDs from Christianbook.com for voting in our Golden Ear Awards. And third, we have launched a special Bonus Contest this week to give away a Jonah 33 skateboard deck. Whoa. That's a lot of free stuff.
So, happy reading. (And don't forget: Tell us what you think!)

The Death of Death
Because of Jesus' victory over death, we can have hope in life everlasting. by Grady Root with Jerry Root
When I was in high school I had a friend named Dave. He was the kind of kid everyone liked. He was cool and athletic. He was the star of the volleyball team. The girls loved his good looks. Everyone loved how crazy-funny he was. And Dave loved God. A lot. One day during our junior year, Dave didn't show up for astronomy class.
