Todd Wilson's Familyman Weekly
For Dad Eyes Only

Note: The following Familyman Weekly is for dads only. So if you're a wife, restrain yourself and read no further. I know you can do it. Just step away from the computer.

Hey Dad,

This is going to be a quickie. We're sitting in a parking lot in Harrisburg, PA, and the kids are anxious to get going. But I do want to give you a heads up on Mother's Day THIS Sunday—I repeat, THIS SUNDAY.

Now if your kids are like most kids, then that thought hasn't even entered their minds yet. So it's your job to "make it happen."

Yes, I know that your wife is not YOUR mother. But, she is the mother of YOUR children and needs to be honored by her children and YOU. Here's the plan: stop by a card shop on the way home from work today and pick out a card telling your wife how much you appreciate her.

Then, run by a florist or Wal-Mart and pick up some flowers or a corsage ($5.96). Next, have the kids make a banner or card telling your wife how much they love and appreciate her.

Finally, plan to eat out on Sunday. Don't even think about letting her go home and cook lunch. Pick her favorite restaurant, do a picnic in the park (you do all the work), or pick up some finger lickin' good chicken on the way home.

Oh, and one more thing—make sure that you hold your wife tight, look her in the eyes, and tell her how you're the most blessed man on earth to have such a great wife—and then don't forget to call YOUR mother and wish her a Happy Mother's Day.

Top it off with a small gift and you will have given your wife a first-rate Mother's Day.

That's all for now. The kids are chompin' at the bit and starting to bug me … next week we'll be in Montana … yow!!

You 'da husband of one GREAT MOM!
