During a round-the-world buying trip, I'd been valuing wool in warehouses at Christchurch, New Zealand, since daybreak. When I returned to my hotel room to code a cable for the Boston office, the door of my room was ajar. Stenciled on a small sign on the floor outside was the word "Electrician."

I went to my desk and was concentrating on my coding when I found myself following the tune being whistled by the man working in the bathroom. I knew the song but couldn't put a handle on it. I walked into the bathroom where the electrician was flat on his back. I introduced myself and asked the name of the song.

He smiled and replied, "I Will Sing of My Redeemer."

Of course! That was it. I said, "You must be a Christian."

He replied, "I am. I saw your Bible on the bedside table and thought you might like to come to our home tonight where we have a prayer meeting. I didn't know how else to approach you as a guest except by whistling a hymn."

Instant membership! God always has his way of building the body of Christ. This is the church.
