 Men of Integrity, Nov/Dec 2000
Where the Students Are
This Week's Theme: Contagious Faith
Monday, November 6
Key Bible Verse: Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible (1 Corinthians 9:19). Bonus Reading: 1 Corinthians 9:20-23
When Steve was a junior, he enjoyed the comforts of an off-campus apartment. The next year Steve moved back into the dorms to spend more time with non-Christiansthe only senior living in that hall. At this public university it was unheard of for seniors to live in the ugly, loud, 11' X 11' and absurdly expensive dorms. But Steve decided to go into the world of those 50 freshmen.
Greg and Jeff decided to be a presence of blessing in their dorm. They filled their room with everything the average college student needed: cold soft drinks, candy, Cup-O-Noodles, blue books and so on. Their room served as school store, library, computer room and entertainment center. They charged nothing and always left their door open even if they were sleeping or away. They kept their room neat and took down religious paraphernalia so all would feel welcomed and comfortable. Not surprisingly, their room was always full of people. When students were hungry, they went to Greg and Jeff's room.

Your Majesty, some people's passion is money, and some people's passion is fame, but my passion has been men.
