No Longer Needed J & B

I was a regularly attending church member still "doing my thing." My wife of six years still enjoyed a lively party on the weekends, too. So it was work all week, party on Friday and Saturday, then go to church on Sunday.
Then my wife became concerned that we'd never had our sons, ages five and two, dedicated. It was Maxcine's desire to have both boys dedicated in her home church in Virginia. Thus, one beautiful spring morning I sat with my family in a spirited church listening to a powerful message after the dedication of our two sons.
Then Jesus touched me! Me, a six-foot two-inch brother, who could do every dance that ever came out. I cried like a baby for about 20 minutes. And did people stare! My older son kept saying, "What's wrong, Daddy? What's wrong?" A whole lot had been wrong. I wasn't a good son, loving husband or devoted father.
Immediately a miracle occurred! I no longer needed J & B to give my a high. You see, Jesus became enough for me. Instead of carrying a pack of Salems in my pocket, I carried a cross. At the cross, I found joy once more!
