Key Bible Verse: God is using us to speak to you. We urge you. … "Be reconciled to God!" (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Bonus Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17-6:1

Pastor Dave encouraged us to witness on [the UCLA] campus just as the New Testament church did. My first time out was with Roger, Dave, and Lee. Pastor Dave took his Bible and walked out into the quad, the open area where students milled, ate lunch, read, and talked.

"Man, my knees are knocking," I told Roger as we stood off to the side.

"Don't worry," he said. "Just watch what I do."

Dave finished his sermonette and introduced Roger. Roger gave his testimony, read some Scripture verses, then introduced me. I walked forward and stared at the people milling around, with 20 or so actually listening.

"I'm A.C. Green," I started. Duh. "And I'm a Christian." I gave my testimony, and one of the other guys wrapped it up. That was the first time people on campus knew I was a Christian, and I couldn't believe what a difference it made. While other students lost their virginity that year, I lost my reputation; but in God's eyes I was just starting it. I was no longer A.C. the basketball player; I was A.C. the Christian. People on campus were on the lookout for me now. I was definitely not "just another athlete."

My Response:

One way I could share my faith story with friends or associates is . …

Thought to Apply:

The possession of the good news of the gospel involves the obligation to share it.
