Ed took a second job to make ends meet for his family. One evening, Christi, an aggressive, attractive coworker, told Ed, "You're so cute and sexy! I love to wrap my legs around men like you!" She flirted at every turn, teasing with double entendres and come-ons.
One day she said, "My husband's out of town hunting for the weekend. I'll be so lonely." An hour later, Ed found her house key on his desk with a note: "I've left this in case you need to get into my house this weekend!"
Because Christi was threatening everything he held dear, Ed returned her key, let it be known in no uncertain terms that he wouldn't be coming, and asked her to stop.
What do you do when someone finds you attractive?
- Spend absolutely no time alone with this woman, even in public places. You don't want to feed her attractions. Make it obvious you aren't returning her interest in you.
- Flee from her. Don't smile knowingly at her. Avoid working with her on a committee. Don't be anywhere that she can be further impressed with you. Do this consciously and methodically.
