Key Bible Verse: Human hands can't serve his needsfor he has no needs . and he satisfies every need there is (Acts 17:25). Bonus Reading:Psalm 50:7-15
I was in charge of an experiments ground station on the first unmanned launch of Apollo. As we were about to launch our first spacecraft, I got called for jury duty.
I showed up at the courthouse with a letter from NASA and the head of the Air Force, saying that I had to be there and asking that I be released from jury duty.
The judge wasn't impressed. "Young man," he said, "if you died today, would they cancel that launch?"
I answered, "No, Sir. I don't guess they would."
He said, "Then you aren't all that necessary, are you?"
That's something we should remember as Christians. God uses us but we're just a part of God's plan. God was getting along fine before I was born and will continue to function after I'm gone.
He has a different plan for everyone. I happen to teach and write because God gave me a gift to be able to do that. Whatever gifts He's given you, they're just as important.
Think of what your gifts are. You might list them. Then ask God if there's anything else in His plan for you that you're missing. Trust Him to give you any abilities you feel you lack. He's the God of the possible!
