Key Bible Verse: "Come," they say. "We will get some wine and have a party. Let's all get drunk" (Isaiah 56:12). Bonus Reading:Galatians 5:19-21
Jennifer looked beautiful in her new dress, her boyfriend dashing in his rented tuxedo. The prom was exciting for a while, but then the couple decided their special night needed something more added. They tried unsuccessfully to find someone to buy beer for them, since they were underage.
Then Jennifer remembered something. "Look, I know where my dad has stashed a couple of bottles of whiskey. Let me sneak into the house and get them out of his closet." While her boyfriend waited in his car, Jennifer crept quietly into the house, down the hall, and into her parents' room. A few minutes later, she emerged with two bottles cradled in her arm.
The couple drove away for a night on the town, in the process drinking the entire two fifths. On the way hometraveling at more than 60 miles an hourthe boyfriend was so drunk he swerved into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit another vehicle head-on.
Less than 30 minutes after the wreck, the county sheriff knocked on the front door of Jennifer's house. Her stunned father got in his car and drove to the accident scene. [continued 4/29]
