Key Bible Verse: Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:3). Bonus Reading:2 Timothy 2:1-7
I had never heard such a challenge before," says Brian, "about being the man of the householdbeing a man of God. We saw that we were failing our families. We weren't praying over our kids and wives. We needed to do what God had put us on this earth to do."
Troy says of the same experience, "It hit meBam! God has a specific purpose for my life! It's up to me to seek Him and ask, 'What am I supposed to do? Where do You want me?' All these years I thought I was being a man by paying the bills. I'd never realized that being 'male' and living in my purpose are totally different. I said to my wife Tommi, ' I apologize; I just didn't know any better.'
"Now the accountability came in. We knew what we were called to do. Dawk holds me accountable; I hold him accountable. Not just as a player. Football's very minor in the whole scheme of thingsand we make sure we keep it that way."
"Troy and I made the same declaration to each other," says Brian. "We didn't want to be just churchgoers; we wanted an intimate relationship with God. Our relationship really took off from there." [continued 12/5]

My Response: Are there other guys who could benefit from an accountability relationship with me?
Thought to Apply: Don't make friends who are comfortable to be with. Make friends who will force you to lever yourself up.
