Key Bible Verses: Pay attention, my child
Don't lose sight of my words
for they bring life (Proverbs 4:20-22). Bonus Reading:Proverbs 4:1-13
During an African safari, I learned how God simplifies parenting for wild animals. Our guide pointed out "follow me" signs that help their offspring follow them despite their highly camouflaged environment.
A lion could be easily hidden from its cubs while crouching in the grass. But God made the back of its earsthe highest point of its body when it's on the prowla distinct black. The white fluff at the end of a leopard's tail bobs around in front of its cubs to keep them from being distracted. The antelope, deer, and gazelle carry distinctive black-and-white patterns on the backs of their front and rear legsat eye level for the little onesdirecting them to safety and the mother's milk source.
The Creator designed these markings into most animal species. But we must choose to provide spiritual training signals for our children. Many parents blend in with the popular culture, rarely making any effort to train their children. No wonder so many kids get lost in the confusing jungle of life.

Thought to Apply: There are too many grandchildren of Christ in the world, those whose parents were Christians but they aren't.
