Paul's five questions [see yesterday's reading] help prove that God is on our side. He's in the boxing ring with us, standing on our side and lifting us out of reach of the bully situation intimidating us.
The simple answer to these questions is that no one or no thing, can ever oppose us, accuse us, condemn us, separate us, or defeat us so long as we have Christ on our side.
God gave us His Son to save us from sin. Don't you think that if God goes so far as to give us His Son, He will protect us in the boxing match, that He will accept us, love us, forgive us, give us confidence, and free us from the trials that bullies bring?
When feeling cornered and down for the count, remember that God is on your side. He's in the ring with you at all times, and He won't let you down. Life was never meant to be slugged out by oneself. God is willing and able to enter any situation of conflict and pressure with us. He is pulling for us to make it and win in life, not to get beaten up day after day.
Paul's question contains its own clincher answer: "If God is for us, who can ever be against us?"

My Response: I'll ask God for the confidence I need to deal with the pressures I'm facing right now.
