Primetime Player Theme of the Week: Still Growing? Clark Kellogg Sunday, July 25, 2004
 1 of 1

Who Said It
Clark Kellogg is a college basketball commentator for CBS and color analyst for the Indiana Pacers TV network. He was the seventh pick of the first round of the 1982 NBA Draft, and averaged 18.9 points and 9.6 rebounds per game in his short NBA career.
Chronic knee injuries over a two-year period sidelined him, making him realize there was more to life than basketball. "I look back," Clark says, "at my wife's nudging, my gratitude for where I'd been, and also the knee injury and the presence of a local minister conducting chapel as the things God used to draw me to Him." What He Said
I didn't come to Christ until I was 25 years old. The Scripture says, "Anyone who comes to Christ is a new creation." Well, I've been a new man for the last 15 years, seeking to walk in the grace and spirit of the Lord. That means that everything I get involved with has to be sifted through the lens of the Word of God and the Spirit of God. That constantly puts me in the position of adjusting my priorities and re-evaluating who and what I am as a father and husband.
I think God has a place for all His people to influence in different ways. I try to use my job as an opportunity to share Christ, or at least to properly represent Him in the workplace. Through the visibility I have and through my personality, I try to be relational in sharing the gospel and who Christ is, and to live in agreement with what the Scriptures say.
