Lemon-Aid Theme of the Week: Crooked or Straight? Mike Nappa Friday, September 3, 2004
 1 of 1

Key Bible Verse: We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have been honest and sincere in all our dealings (2 Corinthians 1:12). Bonus Reading:Proverbs 11:1—6
Not long ago a man bought a car from Bob, and two days later it broke down. The customer was furious, thinking he'd been duped into buying a "lemon." He came straight to the car lot to let Bob know about it.
Although Bob wasn't obligated by the sales contract to make the repair, he apologized for the trouble and promised to have the car repaired at his expense right away. The customer kept right on yelling, cursing, and threatening to sue. Finally Bob interrupted him and said, "Excuse me, sir. I don't think you understood what I just said. I'm going to get your car fixed right away."
The dumbfounded customer sat down in silent shock, unable to speak. Finally he apologized, shook Bob's hand, and the two of them worked out the details of getting the car to the mechanic. Bob honored God that day—and won a customer for life.

Thought to Apply: If the deal isn't good for the other party, it isn't good for you.
