What He Said Her Problem Was
I never realized how selfish I was until I got married. All of a sudden I had a roommate who was around all the time. She was there at night, in the morning, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the garage
everywhere.
Of course, that was great much of the timebut not when she said she didn't like my eating dinner while watching SportsCenter or piling up the dishes until they grew legs and walked off or putting only one dollar's worth of gas in the car at a time. What was her problem?
Her problem was
me.
It took a long time for me to come to grips with the fact that I no longer ruled my world but was now part of a team working together under the lordship of our Savior. The gospel should have led me to be a servant right away. But I hadn't really thought much about how that call to servanthooddying to selfshould be demonstrated in my marriage.
