Four Alls in Romans
Theme of the Week: Handling Guilt
Sunday, March 18

Who Said It
Tom Yeakley

Tom Yeakley studied to be a vet at Purdue University. But with wife Dana he plunged into a collegiate couple's ministry there, joined the Navigators' staff, and pursued his passion for developing productive Christians in the Chicago area and then in Indonesia. Returning to the States in the mid-'90s, Tom led the Navs' U.S. collegiate ministry for several years. He currently works to develop leaders domestically and overseas.

What He Said
Four Alls in Romans

You can present the Christian message by citing four alls in the Book of Romans: all have sinned/Romans 3:23; all will die/Rom. 5:12; Jesus died for all/Rom. 5:8, 18; and all must receive Christ/Rom. 10:9, 13. Have your friend read these Scriptures with you. Then say something like, "Since these truths apply to everyone, is there any reason why you wouldn't want to receive Jesus Christ right now?"

If your friend appears open, invite him to pray these words: "I know I'm a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now receive You as my Savior and invite You to come into my life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord. Amen."

If your friend prays this prayer, help him understand that by receiving Jesus Christ, he's been born again into God's family, and God has promised him eternal life with Him (1 John 2:25; 5:11). Also, with Christ as his Lord, he needs to pursue growing spiritually (Colossians 2:6-7).

0  Prayer for the Week 0

I admit, Lord, that I deserve Your wrath. Thank you for providing a way for me to be made right with You through faith in Your Son.
