Key Bible Verse: Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God (2 Corinthians 2:15). Bonus Reading: 2 Corinthians 2:14-16
Bill Frazer, at age 31, held a government position with an excellent salary and was intimate with several women friends. But where, he wondered, was the satisfaction in such a lifestyle?
That's when Bill recalled a trip he'd made two years earlier to Dallas, to visit a former college roommate. Instead of partying with him, his old buddy took him with a group of his friends to fix up an inner-city day-care center. The next day (having been promised a brunch afterward) Bill joined them for church. He was surprised to sense that this group had the "something" he was missing.
Bill began visiting churches in Washington, DC, to find more people like that—without success. Finally his housemate learned of Bill's search and invited him to his church. Then—as the Bible text was explained and as people spoke to him and each other—he felt that same undefined joy.
Bill continued attending, then enrolled in the New Members Class. While doing the assigned reading—about the unblemished lambs the Jews were to sacrifice for their sins and how Jesus was the Lamb sacrificed for ours—the light went on. Today he teaches a group of seekers who come to church for the same reason he did.

My Response: Might a visitor to my church sense the inner joy that so intrigued Bill?
