Freedom is another promise God makes available to us. Often when we are wrestling with issues of sin in our lives, we are confused when we look at a verse like [today's Key Bible Verse]. If God has set us free from the power of sin, why do so many of us feel like we're still slaves?
When we notice an area of our lives in which we are continually sinning, it doesn't mean that freedom is impossible. It simply reveals an area where Satan has tricked us into believing that sin will successfully meet a need or fill a void. As long as we allow that deception to remain, our lives seem hopelessly drawn to that sin like metal to a magnet.
What has been your personal experience with the freedom God brings? Do you feel free? Or do you at least feel like you are making pro-gress toward greater freedom? Can you look at your life and see areas where you have struggled with sin in the past and attained victory? Or do you feel like you're sinning more now than ever? Is freedom something you [consistently] experience in your walk with the Lord, or is it only an occasional reality?
