With all the ups and downs of life, peace can seem hard to come by at times. Yet [today's Key Bible Verse] tells us there is a peace available to us through Christ that is so strong it "surpasses all understanding"!
Can you imagine a peace so powerful that you experience it even when the circumstances of life are the opposite of peaceful? Even when everything in life is falling apart, God is still able to give you peace. When life seems unbearable, God can provide peace that will guard our hearts and minds from the fear and anxiety that threaten to overwhelm us.
Take a second to evaluate the level of peace in your life. Do you consistently experience a peace that "surpasses all understanding"? Or do you find your peace being swallowed by worry throughout the day?
Perhaps peaceful is the last word you would use to describe your life. If your life is lacking peace, be encouraged: true peace really is available to you! Can you imagine living a life in which God transforms your perspective and provides you with lasting peace?

My Response: In my circle of Christian friends, who seems at peace in times of turmoil? I will ask this friend how he manages to experience peace that "surpasses all understanding."
