Who Said It … Daniel Kolenda
Daniel Kolenda heads Christ for All Nations, a ministry that conducts large evangelistic campaigns, and he hosts a syndicated television program that airs in 118 countries. He is the author of Your Kingdom Come, Surviving Your Wilderness, and Live Before You Die. Daniel and his wife, Rebekah, have three children, Elijah, Gloria, and London, and live near Orlando, Florida.
What he Said … Right under Your Nose
A farmer in North Carolina lived on a farm his family owned for many decades. Finally the farmer died, and after being in the family for more than 200 years, the property was sold to one of the neighbors.
As the new owner was walking in the field, he saw a large, unusual-looking rock just barely sticking out of the dirt. He picked it up and began to examine it. He could tell that this was no ordinary rock. He washed it and took it to a jewelry store. The jeweler confirmed what the owner already suspected: the old stone that had been in that field for thousands of years was a large, uncut emerald worth several million dollars!
Undoubtedly that emerald had been seen thousands of times before, but it was overlooked because, to the casual observer, it appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary rock.
While many people are desperately seeking God's will for their lives, the reality is that often what they are looking for is right under their noses. But they continue to look for it because they don't recognize it.
