Key Bible Verses: I pray that you will know how great [God's] power is for those who have put their trust in him. It is the same power that raised Christ from the dead. (Ephesians 1:19-20, NLV)

Dig Deeper: Ephesians 1:19-23

[Power] is both better and worse than we could imagine. It is a source of refreshment, laughter, joy, and life—and of more power. Remove power and you cut off life, ...

I like what Andy has to say because it stretches my thinking and makes me question what it means to call my self a Christian man of faith. I usually read MOI in the morning but with Andy's devotional I read it in the Morning and then in the evening as well. I thank you for not giving another "pat" declaration of Christ and Grace but pushing and challenging the process of interacting with faith and belief. Similar to reading the bible I don't always understand but I enjoy the mental interaction and embrace by faith the intent of Godly guidance. Thank you Andy and MOI.

I respect Mr Schwarz's opinion. But anyone who is Christian and follows the bible daily will understand what is being stated in this devotional. God is both power and love. I had to read through the devotional a couple of times to let it sink in but I do understand what is being said. The material is to make the reader stop and think or meditate a little more on both the power and love of God. We all as Christians have this power and love granted to us from our Savior. We are to use it daily in our walk with God to make a difference in the lives of people around us.

This is all true, and Andy Crouch a great Christian, but it's a stretch to view such esoteric reflections--however true they may be--as devotional materials. I'll come back to MOI next week after this series is done.
