Key Bible Verses: I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:1-2)

Dig Deeper: Psalm 62

If your life is based on the everlasting Rock of God, then you can have absolute confidence no matter what happens. For instance:

  • If you went to college and got a great job, but then lost it in a recession, you can be absolutely confident that God has a purpose for the difficulty and that your life isn't ruined, even though your résumé might be.

Prayer for the Week
Heavenly Father, forgive me when I focus more on success than on obedience; impress on my heart that lasting satisfaction only comes from an ever-deepening relationship with you.

Wow I like that no matter the score on how much I win or loose it's how faithful I am through it all. I guess God Almighty is not interested in keeping score in my life. Lord, help me to to focus on you more than myself. Amen..Thanks

For the same reason that He created you. Because He is the Lord. He is the 'I am'. He never changes from season to season. He will always be there. God is my strong tower in whom i can put my trust. His faithfulness has been proven time and again in my life. And it will be proven to be the compass to rely on this time as well. Lord, direct my family to the house that will best serve you, now and in the future. May it be one that both Bonny & i agree will meet our future needs. In Jesus name I lift up this prayer, Amen.
