Key Bible Verse: Seek your happiness in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desire. (Psalm 37:4, GNT)
Dig Deeper: Psalm 37:3-6
If you haven't found the work God intended for you, ask yourself these questions: What drives you? What makes you excited about each day? What would you do for free just to be doing it? What would you never want to retire from doing? Is there something you would give up everything else for—all of your material possessions and comforts—just to do because you feel so good doing it?
If that doesn't help you identify a passion, ask those closest to you for their assessments and suggestions. Pursue God and get to know him as a friend. Pray for guidance and meditate on his Word. Ask others to pray for you as well.
You'll know you've found a passion when your talents, knowledge, energy, focus, and commitment come together in a way that excites you like a child with a favorite game or toy. Your work and pleasure become one and the same. What you do becomes part of who you are
