Key Bible Verse: For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Dig Deeper: 2 Corinthians 1:18-22
My life changed radically when I first said yes to God, but it changed ultimately when I lived in the implications of God's yes to me. As I began to understand what God was for, I discovered the secret to a spiritually rich life: saying yes to God in each moment and living in the incredible yes God declares to me in Jesus.
All of God's promises are fulfilled in Jesus. He's our salvation, our hope, and through him, God not only fulfilled all the requirements of the law, but gave us a new identity and an inheritance that will never fade. We can live new lives in the joy of God's work in Jesus. He's shown in Jesus that he is pro-love, pro-forgiveness, pro-enjoyment, pro-purpose, and pro-life in the fullest sense imaginable.
If you are frustrated and feeling empty, tired, and frayed, things can change in your life tomorrow even if your circumstances don't. The restlessness and discontent can be quieted in surrender before God. You'll find something much more fulfilling and longer lasting than any weekend to Vegas—or anywhere else—could provide.
