Caspian Delayed, but More Coming
Prince Caspian moved back a full year, to December '08; meanwhile Walden unveils plans for next three Narnia films. Plus: Controversy over Mormon film, Al Pacino joins Ocean's 13, Duvall in TV Western, and more.

Something to file away under Surprising to Absolutely Nobody: After the enormous success of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Walden Media plans to make more than one sequel-though at the current rate, it may take a while to roll them out. Entertainment Weekly reports, via NarniaWeb, that Prince Caspian, the next film in the series has likely been pushed back a full year, to December 2008, primarily because of visual effects demands. After Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair will be next on the docket, with these two movies planned to form an "interlocking trilogy" with Caspian. The EW article says it's likely that all seven Narnia books will be made into movies. After The Silver Chair, the series is planned to continue with The Magician's Nephew, A Horse and His Boy, and, finally, The Last Battle. Meanwhile, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe recently surpassed The Matrix Reloaded to enter into the Top 20 highest-grossing movies of all time.
