A Tribute to Godly Husbands

I really appreciated your article by Cindy Baum, "For Better or For . …" [Fall 2001]. I could very much relate to it as my experience has been similar. It's a blessing to know there are other godly husbands out there who are still committed for better or worse.

It's the Little Things That Matter

I wanted to thank you for the "Home, Stylish Home" article [Fall 2001]. Since my husband and I have been married, we have noticed how different we are when it comes to decorating. Now we are financially ready to start decorating and I have been dreading it because of our different styles and tastes. But after I read the article, I thanked God because it gave us a plan of attack and it made sense. And it really helps to know we're not the only ones who fight over bathroom towels. Please print more articles like this. You can never go wrong with doing an article on the little things we as married couples go through that are never talked about—everyday issues for everyday people.

Love Fennell, San Leandro, California

My husband and I are about to redo our house and I never thought about praying before we started. I know now that we will have a great time together praying for the right colors, carpet, furniture, and everything we need. Thank you.

Comfort for Marriages in Crisis

Thank you for remembering marriages in crisis. This summer, my husband and I separated after ten years of marriage. I moved into an apartment while continuing to pray that my husband would want to join me in counseling. My subscription followed me there. I had forgotten about it in the midst of my personal turmoil when I saw "Back from the Brink: 'My Marriage Was Over'" on the cover [Fall 2001]. I immediately turned there and was reminded that I'm not the only one going through this.

Yolanda Van Rite, Zion, Illinois

I just read "My Marriage Was Over," and I believe we need more of these stories. In the midst of crisis, many of us are deceived into believing our feelings that "it's all over." Instead, we need to be honest, humble, hard working, and trust in the Lord. My wife left me five years ago. We have remained good friends, and I still believe that reconciliation may come. God always gives the strength we need if we choose to obey his word. Thank you for publishing the truth that it's never over if we surrender all to the Lord. People give up too easily now. What ever happened to long-suffering and perseverance?

Nick Cadorette, Abbotsford, British Columbia

I was helped by the article, "My Marriage Was Over," since I am going through a similar experience. We are reaching the end of our relationship, and I am still praying it will be resurrected. This article was well-written and direct, not hysterical or overblown. It is helpful to hear of the experiences of others because we can see how the Lord works in other lives in similar circumstances. I thank the author for being honest and sharing her story. It takes courage to recount those painful moments. May the Lord continue to bless your publication and the author.
