"Guy Talk" With Third Day

When you get a chance to talk to a superstar band like Third Day, it's fun to just sit around with the boys and talk about everyday things like sports, music, likes / dislikes, and personality traits that we admire most. Get to know the boys of Christian music's premiere roots rock band a little better.
What three words best describe the new album, Come Together?
Group: Our best ever.
Who's your vote for producer of the year?
Group: Monroe Jones!
Favorite cut on the new album?
Tai: "Nothing Compares"
Brad: "Get On"
David: "I Don't Know"
Mac: "I Don't Know"
Mark: "When the Rain Come"
Favorite song from any past album?
Tai: "Long Time Comin'" - (Southern Tracks EP)
Brad: "I Deserve" - (CONSPIRACY No. 5)
David: "Give" - (Time)
Mac: "I've Always Loved You" - (Time)
Mark: "Don't Say Goodbye" - (Time)
If you could catch a baseball game in any other city than Atlanta, what teams would you like to watch play together?
Tai: The Braves vs. the San Francisco Giants in San Francisco.
Brad: The Braves vs. any team, anywhere!
David: Sorry, I'm not into baseball.
Mac: The Braves vs. the Chicago Cubs.
Mark: The Oakland A's vs. the Yankees in NYC.
If you had to make up a new first and last name, what would you choose?
Tai: Mick Shrimpton.
Brad: Rod Roddy.
David: Dustin Childers.
Mac: Wink Martindale.
Mark: Rory Shipman or Mork Gordman.
Name a musician you'd pay to see in concert.
Tai: U2
Brad: The Cars
David: Phil Collins
Mac: Tom Petty
Mark: George Harrison
What job would you like to do for a day?
Tai: I'd pilot a jet fighter, specifically an SR71 Blackbird.
Brad: I'd like to lead the group on Sunday at the Masters (PGA golf).
David: Working in the pitstop at NASCAR.
Mac: Centerfielder for the Braves.
Mark: I'd like to be a college football mascot (preferably Georgia Tech).
If you went back to school, what would you like to study and learn more about?
Tai: Marine Biology
Brad: Biology
David: Criminology
Mac: History
Mark: Music
What motivates you?
Tai: Relationships.
Brad: Courage and faith.
David: How precious life is and making the most of it.
Mac: My faith.
Mark: Heroes and getting things done with excellence.
What's one quality in a person that you admire?
Tai: Integrity (like George W. Bush)
Brad: Philanthropy/Generosity
David: Honesty
Mac: Loyalty
Mark: Genius
If you could change your personality, what would it be?
Tai: To say what's on my mind.
Brad: To be less offensive.
David: I'd be more bold.
Mac: More patient.
Mark: I'd like more charisma.
What do you do that's a total waste of time?
Tai: Interviews
well, other than this one of course!
Brad: Surfing the Internet.
David: Mowing the lawn.
Mac: Watching TV when there's nothing on.
Mark: Sitting in traffic.
What would you like to see invented someday? A better way to do what?
Tai: A wristwatch that does everything.
Brad: Instant access to everything, all at once!
David: Spray cleaner with no wipe.
Mac: Some kind of super fuel alternative.
Mark: My own personal robot.
What fad or style would you like to bring back?
Tai: Muscle cars
Brad: Toughskins (jeans)
David: Peg jeans
Mac: Jams
Mark: 80's metal hair
What's something you can tolerate only because your spouse likes it?
Tai: TLC's Wedding/Baby Story (TV shows)
Brad: My cat
David: Country music
Mac: Oprah
Mark: Shopping
