- Three. When it did not return the third time, Noah knew it had found a resting place, so the floodwaters had receded (Gen. 8).
- All four Gospels state that the Spirit descended upon Jesus in the form of a dove.
- The Song of Solomon, certainly the most "dovey" (as well as lovey) book of the Bible (1:15, 2:14, 4:1, 5:2, 5:12, 6:9).
