TCW Cause of the Year
Introducing TCW's 2009 Cause of the Year:

Combat Domestic Violence
TCW Cause of the Year
My Abusive "Christian" Marriage
I couldn't believe this was my reality. And I couldn't see a way out.

"Did Daddy do that?" my daughter asked. Lying on the floor in the doorway of her room, I was stunned as I realized my daughter had just witnessed undeniable physical abuse. Tom's* anger had escalated into unrestrained rage, and he'd thrown me into our daughter's bedroom.

Around the globe, approximately one in four women has been physically abused by an intimate male partner. In the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Justice, a woman is battered every 15 seconds, and approximately 1.3 million women are physically assaulted by an intimate partner annually.

Abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, and psychological—and it happens to people regardless of race, age, gender. Or religion.

Join us as we bring domestic violence out of the shadows and into the healing light of Christ's power and hope.
