In the last two reports, we discovered how overworked pastors spend their time and why they work so hard. Based on a nationwide Your Church study, this final installment will explain how pastors can better manage their time to be more productive and more satisfied.

Where Pastors Want to Spend More Time

Pastors who work long hours say they wish they could spend more time at home. They would like more time for certain activities at work. And, most of all, they would like to spend more than the six hours they typically spend each week developing their relationship with God.

John C. LaRue, Jr., is vice president of research and development for Christianity Today International, in Carol Stream, Illinois. He may be e-mailed at yceditor@yourchurch.net.
