Top tracks: “You Are,” “Mighty,” “War”

Live albums are typically known for their intimacy, or at least their spontaneity, but Sheard’s first concert recording is a big production, a steady stream of show-stopping arrangements done up with all the razzle-dazzle of a studio album. Its bombast wears thin after a while, but there’s no denying that Sheard is an energetic performer with a knockout voice, and that charisma is enough to carry the project. The songs range from praise choruses to songs of encouragement and empowerment, and while it’s decidedly worshipful, at times it’s light on the actual gospel.
