Top tracks: “In the End,” “Control,” “Someday”
Released just in time for autumn, Heller’s album is well suited for curling up with a good book and a cup of tea on a blustery afternoon. Breezing by like a leaf in the street, Heller’s songs are delicate and charming. Half of the tracks are acoustic re-workings of previously released material, but Heller’s voice might actually be better suited for this quieter style. All the clearer to hear inspiring lyrics like “Perfection has a price / But I cannot afford to live that life / Oh, control. It’s time to let you go / There were scars before my scars / Love written on the hands that hung the stars / Hope living in the blood that was spilt for me.”
