With a guitar at his side since he was a teen, Memphis’s Jeremy Horn certainly knows his way around the instrument, citing places like Beale Street and Sun Studio as muses. Though those influences are here, much of the material fits a modern worship niche, inspired by leading services at Christ the Rock Church. It would’ve been nice to hear more risk taking, but Horn still shows off his guitar chops over songs of praise, while also touching on less vertical terrain like letting go, brokenness, and healing.
